History:
Client is a 30-year-old man, who is an active person enjoying sports such as soccer, studying
biology and compost. At the age of 16 he started drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis and taking
heroin, as these substances were available and part of his everyday life since his father whom he
lived with full time was a cigarette smoker, alcoholic and heroin addict. The client was then
addicted to heroin, an alcohol user and cannabis user for 10 years, until his 25th birthday where he
partied so hard, he was on the verge of losing is life and had to be hospitalized with kidney failure.
After that extreme experience, he decided to stop taking heroin. His life has improved ever since, as
he has found more self-respect and grown more conscious of what he consumes but he has kept
drinking alcohol in socially settings and especially smoking “spliffs” composed of 50% of tobacco
and 50% of cannabis.
