Introduction:
I am presenting this case study as a holistic approach to addressing chronic musculoskeletal pain, stress and eczema in a nursing woman. My focus was on stress reduction by calming her nervous system and improving her stress response which is the principal trigger to her physical symptoms. In addition, I addressed her muscle pain, tension and inflammation in her upper back, shoulders and neck as well as her dermatitis (eczema) on her hand, foot and toes.
The blend was a gentle, 1% topical dilution and a nasal inhaler with the same essential oils for additional stress relief. I chose this case study to share as it reflects how stress impacts the severity of pain and physical symptoms in the body as well as demonstrating safety issues with a nursing woman.
