Dr. Boynton has had a distinguished career in healthcare, research, public health, medical publishing, and medical administration. He has been a professor of pediatrics, a pulmonary physiologist, director of an infectious disease research lab in Cairo, Egypt, Commanding officer of the USNS Comfort, a 1,000 bed hospital ship, deputy inspector general of US Navy medicine, and state-wide director of correctional medicine for Mississippi and New Mexico. He is currently the editor of The Journal of Health and Human Experience and is a member of the AIA Board of Directors and a member of the clinical, research, and research steering committees.
