AquaCare to Enhance Your Aromatherapy Practice

with Madeleine Kerkhof

Learner Outcomes:

  • The basic physiological mechanisms of working with AquaCare
  • Basic principles of therapeutic options within AquaCare
  • Suggestions for the integration of AquaCare within Aromatherapy treatments

AquaCare is a complementary modality which can be a very valuable addition to holistic patient care by all health care practitioners. In AquaCare, water in different temperatures and different states - from cold to hot, from compress through baths, is utilised as a therapeutical tool to help prevent and treat health issues, and offer relief from symptoms and side effects. AquaCare can relieve stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, fatigue, but also digestive tract issues and pains - including muscle and joint pains, spasms and neuropathic pains.

Water is gentle, offers great comfort on body, mind and spirit, is easy to use, often affordable and available, and even with limited availability, a little goes a long way.

AquaCare can be used on its own, but its efficacy can be further enhanced by combining the different treatment options with aromatherapy. Likewise aromatherapy applications may be enhanced in their efficacy by combining essential oils and other plant extracts with water treatments.

In this session Madeleine will introduce you to the benefits of AquaCare in your practice.
