The Philippines is one of 18 mega-biodiverse countries of the world, containing two-thirds of the earth's biodiversity and between 70% and 80% of the world's plant and animal species.

In the past 5 years, there has been an immense growth in both the polar ends of the Philippine aromatherapy landscape (eg. the producers and end users). In this webinar, learn about the essential oils currently produced in the Philippines, their traditional use, and therapeutic applications.

Jirbie is a Board Member and the Philippine Representative for the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA), the Philippine Ambassador for Airmid Institute, and the founder of the Alliance of the Philippine Aromatherapists (APA). She is the founder of the first Philippine aromatherapy certification school, the Aromatherapy Institute of the Philippines. Jirbie works closely with the farmers, micro-producers, and consults for the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) as regards to aromatherapy and essential oil use in her country. She continues to empower and inspire her aromatherapy students to pursue formal studies in aromatherapy as she believes that proper education can help elevate the current aromatherapy industry in the Philippines.
