I'm Susan M Parker and my work is to guide you with the lipid oils and carriers that make up such a rich and important part of skincare and skincare formulation.

As a self-taught formulator, I started my herbal skincare business in 1996. I made infused oils with herbs and other botanicals and worked them into all my formulas. Herbs, plants and botanical families is still a big part of my work, but I no longer run a skincare business.

Early on I fell in love with carrier oils, though at the time we had just a few dozen to choose from. But my curiosity and research lead me to write and publish my book Power of the Seed: Your Guide to Oils for Health & Beauty in 2014.

Researching and teaching about the lipid oils is what I do now.
